Graduated from Kenosha High School.  Entered military service October 12, 1935.  Completed aircraft maintenance courses on B-25, B-26, and B-29 aircraft.  Was interned by Russian Government after Tokyo Raid for thirteen months.  Subsequently served overseas in England, Philippines and Guam.  Retired November 30, 1956.  After retirement, received Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and worked as a research engineer.  Decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Chinese Army, Navy, and Air Corps Medal, Class A, 1st Grade.
